As part of the Nitric Acid Climate Action Group (NACAG) Initiative, JSC “Navoiyazot” is conducting a market survey. This survey aims to evaluate the conditions for the potential contracting and supply of secondary nitrous oxide (N2O) abatement technology at Navoiyazot’s nitric acid production plant in Navoiy City, Uzbekistan.
The nitric acid industry in Uzbekistan produces around 2 million tons of nitric acid per year. Navoiyazot is one of three nitric acid producers in the country. NACAG estimates that Navoiyazot could reduce N2O emissions by around 500,000 tons of CO2 equivalent annually by installing secondary N2O abatement technology.
Navoiyazot invites both national and international suppliers to participate in this survey. The results will help determine the cost of goods and services required by Navoiyazot and assist in preparing the Terms of Reference for the subsequent tender procedure.
