On February 10, 2025, at the Nitrogen + Syngas Conference, NACAG presented the impacts of its initiative and outlined financial opportunities available through its program.
The 38th Nitrogen + Syngas Expo Conference, organized by CRU, is a premier technical event for the global nitrogen and syngas community. It serves as a key platform for professionals to stay updated on the latest technological and regulatory developments.
During the event, NACAG highlighted its financial mechanism, which covers the costs of N₂O abatement technology and monitoring equipment for plants that have successfully passed the due diligence process. This support is available to facilities located in countries that have committed to long-term N₂O abatement in nitric acid production.
Currently, 11 plants in 11 countries have signed Grant Agreements with NACAG, making them eligible for this funding. In addition, NACAG emphasized the broader impacts of its initiative, including increased industry engagement, the integration of N₂O abatement into national policies, and the projected emissions reduction potential.
