The NACAG Secretariat has now published two important documents: the Grant Application Notice and the Statement of Undertaking.
The Grant Application Notice is the basis for official applications by nitric acid producers for financial assistance from the NACAG Support Facility for their activities to abate nitrous oxide emissions. Starting today, plant operators can officially apply for direct financial assistance by the NACAG Support Facility by filling in the Grant Application Notice and sending it to the NACAG Secretariat.
In return for receiving financial support, countries should commit themselves to the continuation of abatement activities with respect to nitrous oxide emissions from nitric acid production after 2020. This commitment should be made by the respective government by signing the Statement of Undertaking. By signing this document, countries manifest their commitment to international climate action in the framework of the Paris Agreement.
