In order to help achieve the goals of NACAG, the Nitric Acid Climate Auctions Program (NACAP) is going to support price guarantees for eligible nitrous oxide emission reductions from nitric acid plants.
The NACAP is planning to hold at least one reverse auction in 2019 to sell put options to private sector companies. The Auctions Program has now announced that Carbon Credits generated after January 1st 2018 and onwards are anticipated to be eligible.
More detailed information on the planned auction(s) will be made available in due time.
