Groupe Chimique Tunisien (GCT), a partner plant operator of NACAG, has issued a call for international competitive bidding for the installation of N2O abatement technology (secondary catalyst) at its nitric acid plant in Gabès, Tunisia.
The deadline for submitting the required bidding documents is April 27th, 2023, at 9:00 PM CET.
Bidders may request the bidding documents by writing to azzouzi.aymen@gct.com.tn and submit their documents either online via platform TUNEPS (www.tuneps.tn) or by registered mail. Alternatively, to receive the necessary documents, you may register at TUNEPS and find the announcement bid under the number N°: 20230200124 . The papers and participation are free of charge.
NACAG finances the procurement and installation of the respective technology under a grant agreement signed with the partner plant. In the case of GCT, the N2O abatement technology is a secondary catalyst system designed to reduce nitrous oxide emissions from nitric acid production.
The signing of the agreement followed the Tunisian Government’s firm commitment to ensure the effective and permanent mitigation of nitrous oxide emissions from nitric acid production from 2024 onwards. It is estimated that roughly 450.000 tons of CO2 equivalent will be mitigated annually with the installation of N2O abatement technology at GCT.
For any doubts or queries regarding the tender, don’t hesitate to contact Groupe Chimique Tunisien at azzouzi.aymen@gct.com.tn or chriki.eya@gct.com.tn.
